Robert Pfeiffer was raised in Venhuizen, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. He started playing guitar when he was seven years of age. He was interested in classical and rock music. When he was twelve (1973) he heard some Irish band and loved it straight away.

Not many people in the Dutch village understood the diddly-eye music at the time but Robert didn’t care much about other people’s opinion so he started to pick up the whistle, tenor banjo, bodhrán, fiddle and so on.

Now, he’s one of the finest trad. guitar players in the Netherlands. Not only Irish music, In some pubs you’ll find Robert playing his 60/70ties repertoire.

Robert spent a lot of his time on Arranmore Island, Co. Donegal, Ireland. Teaching and playing music, now he’s back in Venhuizen and ready to roll…..!!!!
